There are many ways of checking validity - perhaps you want to start a publishing account with them? They are on Wikipedia, they have a legitimate app - which only supplements their revenue from apple, google, and amazon platforms... there's also magazines that already have deals with them, which you can call and confirm - ever heard of men's health, or how stuff works?
