justa, ive been active in a peak oil group. theres a movie called "the end of suburbia", and it makes claims that the suburbs will eventually become the new ghettos.it has commentaries from some heavy hitters including james woolsey, former cia head..... i think peak oil is certainly a valid situation, but i also think that current per barrel pricing is being impacted by many factors and peak oil is just one of them. the project for the new american century is a guiding document in our long term energy policy.
