Then please explain to all of us why the bootys settled if they weren't "on the hook" for something?

It was explained on here ad infinitum over the past 2 years that the boot boys "would never settle" because "they were in the driver's seat."

Apparently not the case. Reason being that they were on the hook for something a lot more important to them than a little money and the alternative could have been jail time.
