Valid concerns, Ester and it all boils down to how each person on here deciphers the sequence of events that have gotten us here. My take on it is this:
1) The first lawsuit was not taken on with contingency and during this timeframe, SFOR barely had any money to stay afloat and unfortunately had to take on toxic debt which led to a R/S last summer. The positive I took from this event was that they were still willing to protect their IP at all costs.

2) From the settlement 8K in January of this year...
ITEM 8.01. OTHER EVENTS

On March 28, 2013, the Company initiated patent litigation against PhoneFactor, Inc., a subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation, for alleged infringement of United States Patent No. 7,870,599 (the "'599 Patent"). The Company filed a separate action against Microsoft Corporation based on its alleged infringement of the '599 Patent and two additional patents for out-of-band user authentication (U.S. Patent Nos.: 8,484,698 & 8,713,701). Both actions were filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. On January 15, 2016, the litigation was settled and the parties executed a settlement agreement in the form of a Release and License Agreement. The terms and conditions of the Release and License Agreement are confidential except under limited conditions. As a consequence of the Release and License Agreement, the parties have moved to dismiss the action with prejudice, the Company has licensed the patents to Microsoft Corporation, and the Company will receive a non-disclosable one-time lump sum payment.

What I have highlighted in bold is what I and many hear believe to be possibly tied to Azure Cloud. Please keep in mind it wasn't until recently that Microsoft reported the huge earnings and Azure was the driver behind that. SFOR Q3 or Q4 could paint that picture for us along with a recent George Waller video where he references ties to Microsoft and Intel.

IMO, SFOR didn't exactly have the monetary leverage at that time time to collect a bigger settlement than the one they received. The good news from this though was the patents indeed proved to be valuable because of who we settled with, SFOR was able to pay off all toxic debt and start managing the company the right way.

3)This is where I have to steal your line in regards to the strength of their patents. I have to ask the question why on God's green earth would an elite patent law firm, Blank Rome, take on 3 new cases at the same time on a contingency basis going after 3 pretty big companies, one of which we know to be worth $780 million if you ask Singapore Telecom? The Microsoft settlement proved the patents credible and Blank Rome obviously foresees a serious upcoming payday from these 3 suits and many others to follow.

This is just how I view the situation here. I am not a pro stock trader - not my day job. This is simply a hobby for me with extra money in hopes that I and the rest of us have purchased the winning lotto ticket. I've stated before, I believe that will be the case in about 24 months.
