A disgruntled depositor would also have to decide on a lily-white bank to move his assets to. You know of any of those?

My guess is credit unions and some small banks will be the only significant winners.

BTW, I decided 40 years ago to run my life with minimal bank involvement. I don't borrow money. I pay cash for everything. I've generally kept my cash in Fidelity or Vanguard MM funds. I even use a Fidelity MM fund as a checking account for paying my bills, so I get (got) interest even on the float... A damn good deal especially around 1980.

I look at those fancy marble bank buildings, and those fat bankers driving luxury cars, and figured I could do best without them. Another example of "Where Are The Customers Yachts?"
