I don't think the point is to identify a strain as much as it is identify the combination of cannabinoids in the strain. There are almost an infinite amount of combinations and from what I understand the compounds act different when grouped differently. Compound that with the possibility of personal variance and their app is the best way I've seen yet to build a stats database as well as for individuals to identify combinations they respond well to. IMO the device is not intended whatsoever to identify strains as the variance in strain is great from plant to plant. The device is supposed to eventually test for pesticides but until then Organadx is the product made for shops to show that their medicine is actually medicine and not poison. I am positive half of mmj isn't grown the way it's claimed to be simply because it's more expensive to do so. Both products are needed in the marketplace and both will and are selling.
