To correct a couple of earlier posters, Li has not acquired a controlling interest in LQMT, but it is reasonable to expect him
to try and do so at some point. As a practical matter, as largest shareholder and one vote away from BoD majority, he is all but in control. However, when he moves to acquire the controlling interest, it seems to me that would trigger any right of first refusal that Apple may have. Furthermore, if Li intends to have a NASDAQ listing, as many here suggest, LQMT currently
is not eligible for various reasons, and he will have to get the share price above a dollar. If he does it the old fashion way, by hard work and earning it, this will take some time. However, to accomplish this sooner rather than later, the reverse split is
a near certainty in my view. Reverse splits almost always
end badly for general shareholders, but there is a possibility this might actually work if the share value is raised well above a dollar, and the business plan immediately produces revenues and ongoing financial results, like a real company with a future. Without the latter, the higher share price from the RS merely provides a greater opportunity for shorts to ride it back down, and we will have a fraction of our current shares at a penny price level.
