Interesting call my wife got this morning

I live in Sarasota, Florida. My wife volunteers at Mote Marine Aquarium about 7.5 mile and 20 minute drive away(stay with me)

As I was pulling out of the driveway, she got a cellphone call. Caller ID said it was her cousin calling from Travase City Michigan, on his mobile. It was a Face Time call (similar to Skype) from his hotel room in Peking, China !! It was 9 AM here and 9 PM there.

The video and audio was broken up a bit but clear enough to understand what was being said. As we drove on, the signal got much better. It was very clear when we arrived at Mote and she had to end the contact

He owns a Highway Preventive Maintenance company and travels around the world. This is his 6th trip to China (on their dime)

He has been asked to return 3 more times in the near future.

Since there have been several comments on overseas communications here on the board, I thought this bit may be of interest to some posters.
