Well these transaction dates and price movements are a little archaic. People who do not know the history of investing do not understand that there used to be certificates and brokers had to physically shuffle stuff around. It should be instantaneous now though. I mean, we have computers that trade on algos in nanoseconds and yet it still takes three full business days to settle a T+3 or a cash account? Makes no sense.
