General Hodges, Read of your COMSEC concern during Anaconda. Mobile Trust may be the solution. Major Sleddogs USAF Retired former EUCOM member. That was all I could include in the note that accompanied the package of SFOR's Mobile Trust I sent to him via Amazon Prime at HQ/U.S. Army Europe in Wiesbaden Germany.
That was over two months ago. The package was delivered and never sent back to me. What I believe happened was this. Since I knew the right address it got there and landed on the desk of his Executive Support Officer who opened it & read the note. The Colonel then pulled my service record from the retirement section at ARPC Denver, CO to verify I was who and what I wrote I was. He then examined the package & its contents and informed his boss.
The task of verifying legitimacy, installing the software on a mobile device & trying it out would fall to a junior officer in Division Comms. His chief of Comms would have already had a staff officer researching a fix to the COMSEC problem highlighted by the General in the June AFN interview during Anaconda in Poland.
I did this to increase product awareness at the level of the issue out of respect for the chain of command. Continuing up that chain, as advised by my Congressman's senior staffer, I then wrote his boss. That is General (4-star) Mark A. Milley, Chief of Staff, United States Army at the Pentagon. I then informed our CEO Mark Kay. He understands my professional concern regarding COMSEC/OPSEC and appreciated my efforts to get our troops SFOR's military grade Mobile Trust defensive software.
