"So why didn't climate change happen back then? "

rr, I can't believe I haven't thought of that. I was u to my hips in the transition to cleaner skies. In 1953 we drove into the LA Basin as we dropped into the Basin on Route 66 there was a brown haze as far as the eye could see. My eyes watered for the week we were there.

The next time I was in LA was 1977. The skies were considerably clarer. I was back in 1988. The skies were practically clear.

I moved to Denver in 1966. From the Front Range, Denver was brown. You could clearly see the darker brown over I 25 , I 70 and Stapelton Airport. I drove through Denver in 2007. Clear skies.

I first started working in refineries s in 1965. For the first 5 years a component of the projects was Sulphur extraction.
When we would put a Sulphur extraction unit on stream, it was shocking how fast yellow hills of raw Sulphur built up.

Until then the Sulphur in crude oil and raw natural gas went up chimneys and out tail pipes.

Yes rr, why didn't Global Climate change hit it's stride back then?
