From our February 2016 study presentation on the company website we can see 2-73 has been successfully tested in vitro for protecting OLs & OPCs against known cyto-toxins. So I guess Biogen now wants to see if 2-73 can help induce OPCs to turn into OLs ("differentiate") in a lab dish, and if so, then see if it can do it in mice and result in a therapeutic effect: remyelination.
