Huh. News to me - I'd recently looked this issue up for a topic on another board, and I'm certain that the source I found said only criminal cases have juries - I assumed patent litigation is a civil matter, not criminal - perhaps I'm wrong there? Or maybe drug patent cases are different from technology patent cases?

You would be shocked at what can be patented - are you familiar with the TX case against podcaster and comedian Adam Corolla, where the patent trolls claimed they invented "playlists" and "serial broadcasting"? Can't get more "common knowledge" that a damn playlist!
