You are a fascinating online personality in terms of your knowledge, acquaintainces/friends base as it relates to NWBO from various vantage points IMHO.

However this NOT why UBS whistleblower who was profiled in a few CBS 60 Minutes exposes went to prison and afterwards did receive his retirement fund: by collecting his % from the US Govt.

In this particular instance as it relates to what you cite was the BIG uncovering of evasion of US taxes through offshore tax havens that BEGAN the worldwide expanding expedition to uncover those 1% NOT paying their fair share whether in US or even German...... that UBS uncover came from their Individual PRIVATE Wealth unit .

WHEREAS what we are dealing with here is Hedge Funds which reside in a different unit of EACH securities brokerage operation whether Goldman Sachs, B of A's Merrill Lynch, and UBS relates to their PRIME BROKERAGE acct unit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prime_brokerage.

So TWO very separate and distinct areas IMHO and not to be pooled as:
1) US Personal Income Taxes EVASION
2) Hedge Funds LEGALLY domiliced(sp?) in tax havens like Bahamas, Turks & Cacao, Isle of Man . Lichtenstein (uncovered)etc
