The naked shorting explanation is just a cover story for the real culprits to throw everyone off their trail.

There are bad actors that have used misinformation to attack the company and its stock. I suspect it's either competitors or hedge funds with money at risk in competitive companies or biotech projects. It's a great cover story to blame "naked shots" just because it sounds so good, and there is this pervasive myth that this is really a big problem. But the type of naked shorting where shares are effectively counterfeited is relatively rare and very difficult to sustain once a company begins to investigate that kind of activity.

Well, NWBO was trading in the $10 range not too long ago. Where were the "naked shorts" then while the stock price had increased...?
