Agree, level two has been showing "i need shares" sos messages all day.

Coupled with the chart formations at hand (golden cross and cup and handle), I would say this makes perfect sense. They are running out of room to keep trading sideways, yet acquire shares, and are afraid to move up on the bid any because they know the next run is inevitable and doing so could initiate such an event.
