The whole purpose of the government objecting to the release of 11,000 documents is to delay the eventual release of the 5 or 10 key documents that the government is desperate to keep secret.
The government is well aware that a sitting judge has to personally review each and every document before it can be released. From the government's perspective, the ideal scenario would be for all the court cases to be decided before any of the key documents makes its way into the public domain.
The funny thing is that this whole matter is so similar to the situation involving Hillary Clinton's emails. The very slow release of her emails is slowly destroying her candidacy because it keeps reminding people over and over again that she can not be trusted.
