couldb, yes, BP is very aware of the potential of EPA and the additional indication potential it has besides lipid management and CV. This is the problem. The gap between a "potential" and "confirmed" successful R-IT is so big, that from the risk/reward perspective, it makes no sense for AMRN to sell and for BP to buy. AMRN wants to see the results and BP rather pays up after confirmation and not speculate because the implications are so big. AZN wanted to speculate on Omthera but also only for $500M or so...a rounding error in the big scheme of things. AMRN won't be a rounding error.

You can look at it this way. Since you are so convinced this will be the best selling drug of all time, go and tell your wife (assuming your are married) that you want to put 100% of your net worth into the stock today? I promise you it will help you understand why BP wants confirmation. wink

The 2 names you mentioned are not on my short list.
