Here's what todays announcement tells me... Elon realizes that the only market for his 100k+ electric cars has been, and will continue to only be, the ultra rich. It is usually the ultra rich who care about things like 'i have the fastest car in the world, prick!' so he's focusing on them. elon, let me know when you have a car I can afford and take a long raod trip in.
