I can't speak for Jollymon's posting intentions, but I think some folks miss the point of most of his "short" action posts ...

I see two reasons why he does them, and they are sorta related:

-- They're often done when the board is going crazy with Amway-pumper-style "lots of accumulation going on!" kinds of posts, so I read that he's just trying to show that if 1/2 the day's trades are short-related, then, well, it ain't exactly "accumulation," despite all the hopes and dreams.

-- He's showing, through the posts, general trader/investor sentiment about the stock amid Amway-pumper-style posts.

I find the posts helpful - one, they are fact-based and not based in speculation like so much here; two, they tell you who is interested in the stock. Again, that can be quite helpful as to know what folks REALLY think of developments and / or the company overall.

I think some folks think it's very normal to have a company with upward of 40% to 60% of trading activity shorted almost every week. It's not ... it tells you a lot about what moves the stock on a day-to-day basis amid reports of 34k in revenue, pending multimillion-dollar injections of money, and affiliations with big companies like Engel, etc.
