I just received the following in the mail today. I'll paraphrase:

Th letter is from the Maxim Group via Anavex though the AVXL Non-Objecting Beneficial Owner List (NOBO). I guess companies and issuers use this list so they can contact shareholders regarding important communications (corp events, proxies, annual reports).

Maxim says they are leading full service investment banking, securities, and wealth management firm located in NY. They say they have a buy rating on AVXL and in an effort to assist the company with investor awareness, they are offering research to shareholders without obligation. They give their contact information to receive the most recent report in digital or print format. "Singed" by Jason Sardo, SVP, Capital Markets/Institutional Sales


I don't recall ever receiving anything like this in the past from other companies I invest in. Thoughts?
