Read the PR in Breaking News. It says clearly that post split, the number of shares will be rounded UP to the next hundred.

So I bought 200 shares today = $12.00

200 shares splits to 1 share @ $12.00

Post split, 1 share rounds up to 100 shares = $1,200.00 for me.
