Thanks STS. Sounds familiar as my wife used to work for the feds and was given some kind of credit monitoring. So far, luckily, no problems.

To answer your question, no it did not come from the broker. Supposedly from the U.S. District Court of North Carolina. But who really knows. In a way it is kind of stupid because my broker has records of when I purchased and sold the stock in question, and if they want me to accept the settlement I could sign that without have to divulge everything they need to do their job.

I was just wondering if I was being too cautious by simply ignoring this and shredding the documents. I guess not . Thanks.
