unethical? hm..
I might agree that as far as Science is concerned the greater the Number and length of time of knowledge regarding a drug(s) and interaction is helpful. SO..recording patients that have been on Aricept and A2-73 that STOP taking Aricept will give us INVALUABLE DAT over the next two years as to the consequences of this action.
We will need to know this sooner or later as so many patients are on Aricept now, When we begin Phase 3 , many may want to join Trial but Stop Taking Aricept..(Do you think that should just be another ARM in Phase 3?)
Will Patients on MOnotherapy A2-73 react DIFFERNETLY if they have NEVER TAKEN Aricept or just if they STOP taking Aricept?

By Adapting the PART B NOW for those who CHOOSE so, we begin to have Data for whether or not a separate ARM is recommended.

Unethical.could be considered letting people suffer for the sake of science when they don't have to..

But your points are not without merit or hyperbole
