I think SingTel is/will be very concerned about their integrity and reputation, thus seeking for an out of court settlement, as opposed to the publicity that would normally be attached to a court battle! And after the amount of money paid for Trustwave, a few tens of thousands to pay off Strikeforce in a settlement, should be small potatoes to them! They can defend the settlement payment as their desire to avoid a lengthy and expensive trial for something they are not guilty of anyway! They can say that the price of proving their innocence would be prohibitive, and not in the best interest of their shareholders! I'm sure that this isn't their first rodeo! LOL! All IMHO!
