After reviewing the conference call, I must say that I am amazed that not one of the three participants could rattle off the figures IDCC believes that Nok owes under the agreement. They say they are ready and yet must take the time to pull an old press release to answer a very simple question. Apparently none of these participants have been involved in the negotiations that have taken place over the past 120 days.

I am pleased that they made the effort on behalf of the analysts who are presently under water with their respective clients. I did not see our ASM analyst participate today and wonder what his thoughts are concerning the arbitration. Does it not seem odd that the engineers of the companies again have a cooperative spirit and the management cannot come to terms? Is this a pattern with EU companies? Ericy all over again and pretty much the same game plan comes to mind. Use them and when it comes time to finalize the license beat them to the punch in filing the legal proceedings. Nok is a low down snake and actually is more culpable in my opinion than Ericy.

I feel good about IDCC because no company should have to jump through the hoops like this one. Folks, with all of the news about 3g contracts, we had better see some licensing soon or a similar pattern will continue to form. I have a strong feeling that IDCC could do a lot with an injunction action against Ericy blocking its ability to perform its contractual obligations with AT&TW. AT&TW is under the gun to complete its 3g roll out or suffer severe penalties to HK. They do not have time to wait on Ericy. We simply have to get respect from these companies and the nice guy approach is not succeeding. How much will Ericy owe after completing the 13 areas of 3g launch for AT&TW? Plenty and certainly enough that communications will break down concerning a 3g license. History will repeat itself if one allows similar fact situations to occur. The time for 3g licensing is yesterday at this juncture. Allowing others to owe us 100's of million's of dollars before securing a license is a dangerous game that we have played before. Being an enabler to these EU klepto's is not the way to success.

Just my opinion
