Quality of data can't be the reason for there not being an oral presentation -- if not Anavex, what company or lab IS going to step up with outstanding data in Alzheimer's? Who is going to take that oral pres spot that could have gone to Anavex and on what grounds? There has been absolutely nothing to indicate that anyone out there right now might have the goods but Anavex. The bar is simply too low in Alzheimer's for Anavex not to have an oral pres because quality of data was not sufficient. The reason has to be logistics, politics, wasn't requested, etc.

I'm thinking it's a combination of requirements and politics. Perhaps P2a results do not qualify for an oral? Or perhaps the AAIC wants to keep it lower key, because of their relationships to BP sponsors and realizing the hit they would take, both programmatic and financial, if Anavex was allowed to grandstand its results and achievements. Just a thought.
