Atlanta Fed's Q2 GDPNow estimate was raised to 2.4% Atlanta Fed's Q2 GDPNow estimate was raised to 2.4% following retail sales and CPI data, vs Blue Chip economist consensus of 2.5%: "The GDPNow model forecast for real GDP growth (seasonally adjusted annual rate) in the second quarter of 2016 is 2.4 percent on July 15, up from 2.3 percent on July 12. The forecast for second-quarter real consumer spending growth increased from 4.3 percent to 4.5 percent after this morning's retail sales release from the U.S. Census Bureau and this morning’s Consumer Price Index release from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics."
