I'm not a lawyer. But have you looked at Singapore Telecom? This 130 year old company is the largest Telecom provider in Asia! They have deep pockets! I did three tours of duty stationed in Asia. One thing I learned about how business is done over there is
how important saving face is to them. There is a sense of tradition and honor among the nationals I had dealings with. IMHO that cultural trait would be found among the senior executives of Singapore Telecom. They were perhaps recently presented with something they would view as dishonorable, the theft of IP by a company they recently acquired, Trustwave Holdings. To uphold the honor of their venerable company and their own personal reputations I believe they will want to do the right thing and resolve things as fairly and quickly as their legal team advises even if it costs them dearly. Now I know people are going to be citing Chinese IP infringment & theft & other cases of ignoring US patent law. IMHO a possibility but not a probability for such a huge Telecom company that operates on the Western (read British) free enterprise, capitalist model.
