The LPC deal is objectively a good deal. Just because other companies have not been in as strong a negotiating position as Anavex with LPC (including Anavex itself before it had strong data on its side), does not mean that the current deal with LPC is predatory. Anyone who reads it can see that it is not. Anavex does not need validation from Goldman Sachs or Morgan Stanley, because Anavex has data and anecdotal evidence that strongly suggests its drug is worth billions of dollars per year. Whether LPC or Baker Brothers provide the cash needed to bring that drug to market is irrelevant to the ultimate goal. $50M on good terms is $50M on good terms. The only people scared of this deal with LPC are the ones who haven't taken the time to read it and instead listen to the basher scare tactics of LPC as some kind of boogeyman with the magical power to put things in the contract that aren't actually in the contract.
