In Mr. L's writings he never cared about shares, only about minimum dollars for a transaction.
Hi Tom, Seems I recall, though I could be wrong, the first edition led one to believe because shares didn't matter that you could swap one stock for another based on cost. So, if I had shares in Ford worth $1000, I could swap it in my portfolio with $1000 of, say, Tesla. I've done this a few times with long positions that weren't moving.
