Negocios contends Allergan bidding for Valeant
Spanish website Negocios.com, which recently offered a report on a purported takeover bid for Church & Dwight (CHD) that sent that stock higher until the story was rebuffed by the company, is now reporting that Allergan (AGN) is bidding for Valeant (VRX) in a transaction valued at $13B. Valeant, which currently has a market cap near $7B, remains down 2% at $24 per share in late day trading. The Fly notes that in an interview with CNBC on April 6, Allergan CEO Brent Saunders said that while he could not comment on specific potential takeover targets, he was willing to "come close" to ruling out an acquisition of Valeant
