Dokto, here is my explanation as best I understand it,

. NWBO launched a P2 for DCVax-L.

. This trial failed to keep patients due to the unblinded control arm (no sin here, several other GBM trials failed the exact same way).

. They designed a blinding placebo and relaunched as the same trial (kind of weird, but probably saved some paperwork), This trial had the crossover.

. They ran out of cash and the trial went dormant.

. They gathered enough cash to relaunch, and at the same time expanded to a P3. Kept the crossover.

You can go to clinical.trials.gov and try the history, but it is a real mess.

My guess is you are thinking the first P2 attempt was 2A and the second 2B, but technically they were the same trial with the first just being erased as those patients are not on the P3.
