Time On Wing (TOW) is 25khrs for Pre-LEAPs

"A growing number of CFM56-3 engines reach more than 25,000 hours before their first shop visit removal"

And the LEAPs are better so I would expect that to be higher... so I was wondering how long the currently produced LEAPs will take to rack up 30-40k hrs ?? I found this article and saw some others that all quoted about the same number, 3,500 hrs per year...

It may be a long time before we see any appreciable numbers of EBM blades on the LEAPs unfortunately... Its a pity EBM blades were not flight ready for the LEAPs that would have been a terrific shot in the arm for Arcam, but we can hope that someday in the next several years we will begin to see them used in these engines...

The GEnXs have been in production longer so hopefully we will begin seeing those engines sooner...I expect the older GEnXs are about ready now so perhaps that's why they ordered those 2,000 blades... it's a start...

To second the point of Investor123 (I think) who said Arcam needs new customers and verticals if they are going to begin selling 10 machines a month any time soon... Aviation is just too slow to adapt...

Cheers
