I'll follow up more a little later about that duke. In the mean time please re-read what I said about the numbers, research, etc...in short, I already said the formula was for paid and not Free, So had this been a time when I was earning my PhD my advisors would have done what you did - sent it back! but before completely dismissing we have to seek out other aspects that might be at least worth discussing, which they would have pushed me to find.
