Here is my take.
LP is probably an egotist and holds the helm of Cognate and Toucan along with NWBO. She has been more or less doing whatever she wants between the 3 only NWBO being public for a reason i.e. to using other people's money thru selling shares to the public and the ability translate it into millions and potentially if NWBO hits a homer due to her enormous shares. But if NWBO goes away she is protected thru Cognate. Maybe she got very carried away with NWBO funding Cognate through many related party transactions that she thought she could get away with, not in a criminal sense but favoring herself along the way because she believed that she saved NWBO and therefore deserved a big payout. She most definitely wants to be the one who cured cancer but also surely wants thethe max reward. I don't believe for a second LP is a criminal or even close, in fact using that word is totally over the top in this setting. But nonetheless since the company has been historically basically composed of friends and family who is going to tell her "no" except for a NW type that is. And herein lies there start of her problems, it forced her to give him the finger which was her second downfall (her first downfall was courting him as an investor and inviting him into the family where upon he saw obvious issues/problems that he made most likely clear to her and then soon after the public when she ignored him) and there rest is history.
This is obviously all my opinions and just conjecture where as I am trying to explain to myself what happened/what went wrong.
As successful as LP was in landing NW as an investor/bank she screwed up the relationship and her main financing arm when she reacted assumably negatively to his requests. Did NW handle his demands well, he probably was guilty of the same by strong arming her but they both screwed themselves and should now make nice so we can all continue playing ball. It seems like NW is extending the olive branch, hopefully LP sees that and I believe she has since a member here stated that LG sees a good relationship in the future between the two.
The bottom line is LP can right the ship the question is when and how she does it. Hopefully she has been brought down to earth and doesn't blow it all apart with her damaged ego and her go or go home alone attitude. She needs NW , she needs the shareholders and she needs the FDA and with Nasdaq calling her out re the alleged way too cozy relationship with her non public Cognate a real lesson has been learned. Hopefully she does the right thing and comes out smelling like a rose because I am sure she is a good person who just got carried away with power. She can make NWBO right again, she holds the key, ball in LP's court.
