I attended the SHM.

The last SHM I went to was the final Delaware 2013 meeting. I have been paying attention to Lightwave since 2011. I cut my position a long time ago because I found other investments more compelling and Lightwave seemed to be in a continuous loop of undisclosed trial and error. You can take this as the opinion of someone who has been critical. I've seen several people come and go at Lightwave and watched presentations then spoke to almost all of them at some point. I've never met anyone like Lebby, he is reserved yet confident and brilliant.

I watched Lebby's presentation and spoke to him afterwards, then later we attended a dinner together. I gleaned quite a bit about his conviction, experience and contacts in the industry. He is by far the most well connected person that has been in the company. The device schedule we have is his own, if they miss it will not be by much. I asked how he found out about Lightwave and the answer I received was Leonberger had contacted him and he very much wanted to be involved afterwards. Lebby is also going to be involved in managing the direction and image of the company. Hiring people, writing PR's, speaking at events. I would not be surprised if he takes over the CTO roll at some point, though that is my opinion only.

While they likely won't have any working device until 6 months from now, I expect we will start benefiting from the changes that Lebby brings to the company sooner than that. He solves the two big problems I had with Lightwave. 1; an issue with the clarity and effectiveness of PR's, along with having a proper spokesman. Also, and arguably more important, a schedule for a working device that I believed.
