I would think retiring baby boomers will support the housing boom on the west coast of Florida. I know the spousal_unit and I were there last year scouting for a home. Naples is a bit pricey right now.
What I can't figure is the boom in the Dallas area. For the first time since the 70's, home values are rising quickly. I don't get it? It's not like we are out of land for new housing? In fact, with the new highway system, it's even easier to move away from town.
In the meantime, what I see as very difficult is for young people to come up with the 10% down needed to buy a new home.

Just my opinion, of course.
