60 Minutes tends to cover these kind of "medical break-through" stories that are associated with universities.

It may have something to do with university research that can be discussed and promoted without all the restraints placed on public companies with regard to disclosures requirements. Just imagine what NWBO could discuss if they weren't hand-cuffed by SEC related requirements?

The majority if not virtually all cancers will be cured in the coming decades. And much of the work towards that end is either in the pipeline of leaving the lab and entering the clinic, or is easy to visualize given the state of science & biotech with the advanced scientific tools available.

As an side: the CRISPR system for editing genes may accelerate the work on finding cures for cancer, and is actually a scary technology that has implications well beyond just curing disease - and one day the definitive cure for baldness will be found.
