Stan501, I'm hardly new to the Cellular Business. In 89, in FCC Lottery of Rural Service Areas (RSA's) I went to DC for the drawing for IL. I had 10% of a Partnership that had the first two #'s of 3 for an RSA that included Decatur,IL, the License sold for 26mm. In that drawing there were 750 Applications per Drawing. Our Partnership had won 1 RSA which we built, operated a couple years and sold, made a little money.
Another Partnership won Nederland, CO in the Fill-In Lotteries. We built that Market. I was involved in the build out and management. I arranged for a consultant who was a National Officer in RSA Association, who arranged to sell 15% Interest to a Rural Telephone Company. We had a Denver local #. The sale would have generated enough Cash to buy a new Switch and other equipment and we would have made a bundle and would have been 1 of the first with a Local # into a Metro Market and very likely could have become one of the largest Re-Sellers in USA. But, we had a couple "genius's" that talked the majority into holding out for $50,000 more Cash. 2 weeks later the offer was dropped and we later filed bankruptcy and let the License go back to FCC.

I bought in when Tobin was touting buying VELA as a Call Option, price was $0.006. I still am hoping Tobin was right. I have a limited way of getting info on VELA and hoping I could get reliable info here. I do not need pump and dump or political baloney.
If what we hear is true and there are Subs and Sales active this could be worth some real money. The trick is if built out companies will allow VELA access to their Systems.
If anyone knows where George is holed up could they walk in and try to buy Service in these 4 Markets where you say they have access.
The killer is if George is a jerk and is not known for integrity and Trust?
