Regardless of how or even if, it is gone from the SHOM books. It would still be to the benefit of shareholders. If they cancelled out his shares, as I guess you are suggesting, it would improve the PPS. If he was to give his shares to the company, that's us. I don't think he can just give the shares to the new owners as payment because Encore belongs to all of us.
If it is truly gone from the books, then they will have to file as to what happened to it sooner or later.
