Well, I was neither the buyer nor the seller. BUT, I've seen my broker Fidelity press to get me the lowest price possible when I'm buying. That sometimes ends up with odd numbers, even when I'm willing to pay more for a stock.

As a buyer, I'm generally quite happy with how Fidelity represents my interest.
