Well said, and very accurately REMEMBERED Sleepy2016.

I lost $22K in that epic, 2 1/2-year-long BK that signaled the start of the Great Recession.

And by virtue of being in it --- with all its many twists and turns --- I garnered an "education" of sorts in the often bizzare world of so-called "corporate reorganizations".

So much so that it's ABSOLUTELY clear that SUNEQ's common shareholders are all going to be WIPED ... with no fear whatsoever about the "NOLs".

SUNEQ is no more than a mere a HOLDING Company ... with its important assets owned by its various OPERATING companies. This effectively SHIELDS those companies from the BK of an "affiliated" company of the grouping of collective companies.

It's the PRIMARY reason why such companies are STRUCTURED as "holding companies".
