No one is saying there has been a crime. That determination will be made by the investigators. But even a false perception of wrong doing can hang over a company like a dark cloud. If both investigations come back clean, the market may perceive this as an "all clear" signal and we could return to normal valuations. That is what we long investors are all hoping for. Nonetheless, it is sad that the pursuit of scientific progress has been slowed down to investigate claims of wrongdoing. I pray that everything is found to be on the up and up. The alternative would be truely deplorable.
