Dutch,

I'm truly glad and grateful that you are performing this analysis.

Isn't possible, however, that there are so many "market" forces that are actually totally disconnected from the market, that traditional trending and data analysis are useless ?

Too many people are "playing in the cracks" as it were. I was reading about so-called hedge funds and their (mostly) perverted strategies to gain advantage from what should be an open and trustworthy market. Through stealth and chaotic practices, these people bring huge wealth into play to gain private advantages at the expense of other investors, retail and commercial. This is similar in nature to tax evasion strategies, legal and illegal. The operative word being "evasion" as opposed to "minimizing or reducing".

I really am not whining or even trying to complain. I believe that the sooner "ordinary" investors accept the fact that this is truly a very cleverly"rigged"( not my word) game, they will adopt a more effective and realistic approach to investing. Everyone has to invest. Even if they're 100% in cash, THAT is their investment position and they will benefit or suffer from the consequences thereof.

Sorry for the lengthy epistle, but engaging in the market without this discussion is really not very straightforward or financially healthy .
