Gee funny you mention that about the need for combo treatments that you and others are parroting. It was only my third post on NWBO where I mentioned the need for combo treatments in reference to the Direct trials. post 2088 back in 2013. And look at the results of the Direct trials- ZERO ORR. IMO a failure. Does this justify going further into a p2 international trial? Only if you are NWBO wanting to burn thru cash (your cash).

"The main reason why this trial may fail is that the immune response can't overcome the immune suppression of the tumor environment. Hopefully the patients chosen does not all have this problem so we see some PR or CR. Then future studies can focus on combo treatments. I really don't know if the cross species immune suppression mechanisms are conserved but I'm assuming that human immune system is more complicated than that of murine. But the whole idea of just simply inserting these cells into tumors seems too easy for it to work- but IF it works even in just 30% of patients- just imagine the waves this will make- because of all the possibilities. So in my mind, I would like to be surprised by positive results but am expecting VERY little from this pI/II."
