After reading what tripe has been said against GTE by AMEX, I am of the firm belief that AMEX will soon be suffering one of the biggest embarrassments of all time.
Habeas Corpus! Where's the body? Without a dead body, where is the murder? AMEX slanders GTE by insinuating that GTE a fraud. Where is the evidence? By inferring fraud, they also infer that the airship project is a fraud as well.
There was nothing fraudulent about the 150,000+ blind rivets that were driven through thousands of aluminum gussets onto more than a mile of aluminum tubing.
I'll bet Huff can produce a stack of PAID material invoices that weigh almost as much as the airship itself.
Another thing, companies that are out to scam people don't mess around with the U. S. Government. Most people who try to scam the government usually end up in Leavenworth. Here, GTE has been working hand-in-hand with the USAF. If anyone should scream fraud, it is the Air Force. They're obviously happy with what is going on.
If anyone is guilty of FRAUD, it is AMEX. The people who truly run AMEX are the ones operating out of boiler rooms, those who conspire to fraudulently defame a company through internet, or try to manipulate a particular issue to their own advantage. These are the sleazeballs who couldn't hold down an 8 to 5 job, who look for the easiest way to glean a dollar....they do it the old fashioned way...they chisel it.
I think GTE should start a precident and SUE AMEX for slander. It is very obvious to me that AMEX is NOT IN CONTROL OF THEIR OWN EXCHANGE. GTE is the sacrificial lamb that AMEX offers to the gods of finance all the while chanting, "We do this to protect our investors, we do this to protect our investors." Before AMEX points an accusing finger at GTE, they should first assure themselves that their own house is clean.
There are bulls and bears on Wall Street. There is also a PIG named AMEX.
