Kind of actually the price is set by us the traders. If people are willing to sell at .0005 than if it's bought at that price then that is the "market" price. Investments gain value when people feel what they own is "worth" more. This is decided by a lot of things. But remember somebody can come along and crash a party because even though they have a position that's worth more to you than to them they just want to Dump it for less money. So they look out on L2 and see a person looking for a deal for 500000 shares at half the price you think your shares are worth and dump them splat.. new market price.. this is probably the most stressful trading your going to do being new and all. Great your doing it but without L2 your flying blind.. not to say you can't do it but it's hard to make a trading strategies with out it. Hope all that kinda helps. The longs have to stick together somewhat and the lower share structure helps reduce the amount that are available for sale in essence making the value to the holder higher..
