The job of the company security officer is to protect the security of the company, including company information. Among other duties, he watches for attacks and may create barriers to intrusion and be observant for spies, threats, and maybe keep an eye on insiders to protect the security of the company industrial confidential information.

His job does not include watching out for the securities of investors, being securities such as stock value. His job is internal to protect from external threat. Although he may have a personal interest in the current stock price, his job does directly involve protecting the stock price. He has some indirect interest in protecting the stock price by protecting the company.

I believe some who have contacted Juan Mendoza have motivations which are not helpful to the company or its shareholders. From what I have observed, Juan has filtered these people and information which flows to them. In this, Juan has proven his value and success.

Thank you Juan.

My intent with this post is to portray a limited view and there is no intent to cover all the duties or activities of Juan. Juan is a good man doing a good job.

Some surely will not like the lack of information flowing from Juan. That is OK, and because of Juan doing his job well, some will be be angry because he decides not to be forthcoming with information flowing to whom he determines to be a negative influence or threat to the company and/or its officers. The has a consequence of also protecting the shareholders, by enhancing the security of the company and its officers.
