Only things weird is the part saying that customers don't want it delivered early?

I'm not an aviation industry expert, but it could be the following:

1) Early delivery might interfere with the time frame and the need for parts only at a certain point in assembly line production

2) Early delivery might necessitate early payment to suppliers (within 30 days of the date that parts are shipped or received).

If you don't need the parts until later (due to assembly line production) why tie up your funds to pay for them early, and then let them sit in a warehouse somewhere, collecting dust?
